1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Lasting Bound, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Account Registration

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
• Each person may only hold one account. Duplicate accounts may be removed.

3. Subscription & Billing

• Free plan users have access to a limited set of features as described on our Pricing page.
• Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until cancelled.
• Refunds are not issued for partial billing periods.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to subscribers.
• All payments are processed securely through trusted third-party payment providers.

4. Final Message Delivery

• Final messages are delivered based on inactivity periods configured by the user.
• Delivery is subject to confirmation from your designated legacy contacts.
• We are not liable for delivery delays caused by incorrect contact information.
• Once delivered, messages cannot be recalled or deleted.
• We do not read, moderate, or review the content of your messages.

5. Daily Check-In & Inactivity

Users are responsible for completing their daily check-in to reset the inactivity timer. Lasting Bound is not responsible for unintended delivery caused by the user's failure to check in within the configured inactivity period.

6. Content & Intellectual Property

• You retain full ownership of all content you upload (messages, photos, videos, journals).
• By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store and deliver it as per your settings.
• You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on third-party rights.
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

7. Prohibited Use

• Using the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempting to access other users' accounts or data.
• Uploading malware, harmful code, or abusive content.
• Misrepresenting your identity to legacy contacts or recipients.
• Attempting to reverse engineer or exploit the platform.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms of Service, with or without prior notice. You may also delete your account at any time from your account settings.

9. Limitation of Liability

Lasting Bound is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
