What Is the Daily Check-In?

Every time you log in to Lasting Bound, you are prompted to tap a single button: "I'm Alive." It takes two seconds. But those two seconds tell our system that you are active — and reset your inactivity timer. As long as you check in regularly, your final messages will never be delivered. Simple, human, and effective.

Why It Matters

The inactivity timer is the core mechanism behind final message delivery. The system cannot know whether your silence is intentional (you are on holiday) or something more serious. The Daily Check-In solves this by requiring an active, human confirmation of your presence. It is your signal to the platform — and to your loved ones — that everything is okay.

How the Timer Works

You choose your own inactivity period — anywhere from 7 to 365 days. If you go that many days without a single check-in, the platform initiates the delivery process, which includes a confirmation step with your chosen legacy contacts. This multi-step process ensures that messages are never sent prematurely.
